A: Per the ICC-300 Code for Existing Bleachers, Folding and Telescopic Seating, and Grandstands, bleachers should be inspected AT LEAST once a year by a qualified person for compliance.

Q: What is the lifespan of bleachers?

A: The typical lifespan of a properly maintained bleacher is approximately 35-45 years.  

Q: Is bleacher maintenance worth the money?

A: Yes. New bleachers will cost around $4-$7 per seat and last around 20 years before replacement without maintenance.  You can gain another 10-20 years of life on the bleacher with maintenance at a cost of about $1-$3 per seat each year.  It's worth it!
